Senior Network Lead

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• – Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
• – Install and configure networking hardware.
• – Create and implement network security measures.
• – Manage and mentor junior Network Engineering staff.
• – Conduct regular network performance tests and delegate maintenance tasks.
• – Handle escalated network support issues and draw up status reports.

Qualifications

Technical Skills and Experience:

• – Network Operations: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Networking, specifically in a Network Operations Center (NOC) and Enterprise Network Troubleshooting.
• – Switching & Routing: Expertise in Cisco 9300/9400/9500/4500/6800, Stackwise-virtual, Cisco VSS, Cisco ISR routers, and advanced routing/WAN protocols.
• – Security & Tools: Knowledge of Cisco ASA, Firepower, Cisco ISE, Zscaler proxy, Checkpoint firewalls, SolarWinds, NetFlow, Algosec, and SIEM.
• – Operations Management: Proficiency in Incident and Problem Management processes and ticketing systems like SNOW.
• – SD-WAN: Knowledge of Meraki and Viptela technologies.

Professional Skills:

• – Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• – Strong problem-solving abilities and stakeholder management.
• – Ability to self-organize within a team environment.

Qualifications:

• – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• – CCNA/CCNP level experience.
• – ITIL® V2/V3 Foundations certification is an added advantage.
