LayerNext.ai is seeking an enthusiastic recent graduate to join us as an Intern AI/Software Engineer. You will help design, build, and test full-stack applications for our AI-powered financial operations platform while working with experienced engineers. This is an opportunity to develop practical skills, explore emerging technologies, and contribute to meaningful products.

What You’ll Do
▫️ Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications.
▫️Build and maintain front-end features using modern JavaScript frameworks.
▫️Create scalable back-end services, APIs, and database solutions.
▫️Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product stakeholders.
▫️Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
▫️Test, debug, and improve application performance.
▫️Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and product planning.
▫️Contribute to the development of our product’s core agentic AI framework.
▫️Evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and performance of agentic AI frameworks across different AI models.
▫️Learn new tools and technologies while contributing to live projects.

What We’re Looking For
▫️A recent engineering graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
▫️A solid understanding of programming fundamentals and software-development principles.
▫️Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, or similar.
▫️Basic knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Firebase.
▫️Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
▫️Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
▫️A willingness to learn, experiment, and take ownership of your work.
▫️Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Bonus Skills
▫️ Exposure to generative AI.
▫️Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
▫️Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue, or Angular.
▫️Familiarity with REST APIs, Docker, or automated testing.
